Placements24 is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to design, develop, and implement scalable cloud solutions for clients in Paarl and the Western Cape. You will work across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, translating business needs into robust architectures.

The role requires 7+ years in IT with 3+ years in cloud architecture, strong networking and security skills, and IaC and containerization expertise. Hybrid work model with opportunities for professional growth and certifications.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT infrastructure experience, with 3+ years in cloud architecture.
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience designing complex cloud solutions (microservices, serverless, big data).
• Strong networking, security, and data storage knowledge in cloud environments.
• IaC experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates.
• Containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.
• Experience supporting clients in Paarl, Western Cape is beneficial.

About the Role

Requirements

• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex cloud solutions (e.g., microservices, serverless, big data).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and data storage in cloud environments.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience supporting clients or operations in the Paarl, Western Cape area is beneficial.
