Job summary

Trace Systems Inc. is seeking an Enterprise SATCOM / Network Administrator for Hill AFB, UT. The role requires monitoring network events and managing troubleshooting efforts for IP and SATCOM networks, ensuring operational integrity round the clock.

The ideal candidate will need a Secret clearance and experience in IP networking technologies. Additional qualifications include familiarity with satellite communication architectures and relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP.

Job Title

Enterprise SATCOM / Network Administrator

Job Location

Hill AFB, UT

Job Responsibilities

• Create and update tickets utilizing DISA ticketing applications to aid in customer problem tracking and resolution in all aspects of the network integral to our clients Baseband, IF and RF communications.
• Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time on a 24x7x365 basis.
• Perform IP network support to include configuration of routers, switches, firewalls and voice equipment.
• Perform IP satellite modem support to include configuration and issue of option/boot/RSP files.
• Remotely access and de‑access customers into the IP/SATCOM networks.
• Work with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and deployed operators to troubleshoot and resolve SATCOM and IP network issues.
• Verify equipment is operating in the baseline configuration.
• Remotely provide global equipment configurations at DoD SATCOM Gateways utilizing the Satellite Access Authorization (SAA) and Gateway Access Authorization (GAA).

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, in‑scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
• Due to the nature of the work and US Government requirements, US Citizenship is required.
• Moderate IP/Networking experience including routers, switches, firewalls, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, RIP), VLANs, ACLs, and multicasting.
• Knowledge and experience with satellite communications technology architectures.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ce or equivalent) – MANDATORY to start.

Desired Qualifications

• CCNA/CCNP certifications.
• Experience with iDirect/Linkway IP Modems.
• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of MILSATCOM earth terminal equipment (up/down converters, modems, high power amplifiers).
• Familiarity with the operation of encryption devices such as KG-250, KG-250x, KIV-7HS, KIV-7M, KG-175.

Education

• High school diploma.
