Job summary

Aerospike in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a tactical, hands-on Director of Sales to lead field execution, mentor account executives, and directly drive enterprise opportunities.

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will manage day-to-day deal strategy, forecast rigor, and scale high-performing reps while expanding key enterprise accounts and navigating complex sales cycles. You will partner with Sales Engineering and Marketing to align messaging and accelerate closing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise software sales with leadership experience.
• Hands-on sales manager in high-growth environments.
• Experience selling cloud data infrastructure to technical and executive buyers.
• Familiarity with NoSQL and distributed data technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree required; based in Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities

• Drive day-to-day sales execution, deal strategy, pipeline management, and forecasting to meet quota.
• Sell high-performance cloud database and data infrastructure to demanding buyers.
• Manage and grow a multi-million dollar book of business (> $20M).
• Lead growth across enterprise accounts and digital-native companies.
• Coach account executives through deal execution and qualification.
• Partner with Sales Engineering to ensure discovery, demos, and executive engagement.
• Maintain rigorous forecasting and pipeline generation.
• Apply MEDDPICC and other methodologies.
• Develop relationships with CIOs/CTOs and data leaders.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Sales Engineering, and CS to accelerate cycles.
