Job summary

ENFOS, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineering Intern in Durham, NC to work alongside experienced engineers on an enterprise SaaS platform for Environmental Obligations.

You will participate in design discussions, code reviews, and testing, contributing to real product development across frontend, backend, data, and AI-enabled features. You will learn modern development tools and practices, gain ownership of features, and contribute to scalable, secure software with mentorship from senior

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented programming, and core CS concepts.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Build production software across frontend, backend, data, AI‑enabled features, or platform engineering.
• Develop user‑facing experiences using React and TypeScript.
• Create backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Work with data and documents, processing and transforming complex environmental and financial data.
• Contribute to AI‑enabled capabilities like document processing and AI-assisted workflows.
• Troubleshoot issues, implement maintainable solutions, and improve scalability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into working software.
