Job summary

North County Transit - San Diego Railroad is seeking an Enterprise Risk Manager under the Deputy General Counsel to develop, implement, and evaluate the Enterprise Risk Management program for the District, including general insurance and property/liability claims.

The role requires independent work and collaboration with Safety, Regulatory, Employment & Civil Rights, and other departments to mitigate risk, manage insurance portfolios, coordinate with TPAs, and report on risk findings to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; five years of risk management or claims experience.
• Experience in administering risk management programs and insurance portfolios.
• Public agency experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and directs enterprise-wide risk management goals, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborates with District divisions on risk management matters.
• Investigates and resolves property and liability claims with the Deputy General Counsel.
• Oversees insurance programs and coordinates with brokers and third-party administrators.
• Maintains the District's Risk Register and chairs Risk Roundtable meetings.
• Prepares reports for executive leadership and regulatory agencies.
