Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks a Director of Risk Management to lead enterprise risk, insurance programs, alternative risk financing, and claims management across our nationwide projects. This role advises executive leadership, shapes risk strategy, and partners with Brokers, actuaries, and legal counsel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA or MS in Risk Management strongly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive risk management experience, with 5+ years in construction.
• Experience managing large commercial insurance programs and surety processes.
• Experience with captive insurance or alternative risk financing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine an Enterprise Risk Management framework aligned with strategy.
• Lead insurance renewals across multiple lines and manage brokers and carriers.
• Oversee captive/alternative risk financing feasibility, design, and implementation.
• Direct end-to-end claims management across all lines with loss prevention focus.
• Review and negotiate risk-related provisions in contracts and real estate deals.
• Manage surety bonding program and monitor bonding capacity against growth.
• Partner with Safety and Fleet to reduce loss frequency and severity through programs.
