The role focuses on automating legacy processes, transitioning to paperless workflows, and partnering with shipping, billing, manufacturing, and executive teams to ensure ERP capabilities support business goals. Occasional on-site travel is expected.

Job description

We have utilized SYSPRO as our core ERP system for over 11 years. To support our growth, we are focused on optimizing our systems, automating legacy manual processes, and transitioning to fully integrated, paperless workflows across our operations (e.g., modernizing shipping-to-billing processes).

We are seeking an ERP Optimization & Project Lead to serve as our internal subject matter expert (SME). In this role, you won't just manage systems—you will lead project initiatives, coach teams through change, and help drive operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• ERP Optimization & Automation: Identify manual, paper-based bottlenecks across manufacturing and administrative departments and implement streamlined, automated ERP solutions within SYSPRO.
• Project Management: Plan and execute IT/ERP roadmap initiatives primarily utilizing Waterfall methodology, incorporating Agile practices where beneficial.
• Change Management & Coaching: Act as a collaborative mentor to end-users across departments. Educate, train, and guide staff on modern ERP practices to ensure smooth adoption.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with shipping, billing, manufacturing, and executive teams to align ERP capabilities with business goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

Core Requirements:

• Manufacturing ERP Experience: Proven experience operating within a manufacturing environment and optimizing ERP workflows.
• Paperless Environment Expertise: Track record of driving or supporting the transition from paper-heavy processes to fully digital ERP workflows.
• Project & Change Management: Demonstrated capability in leading IT projects, managing scope, and leading organizational change management.

Technical / ERP Skill Profiles (One of the following):

• Direct SYSPRO ERP experience (preferred/local).
• Strong experience with comparable manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, Infor, JobBOSS) willing to leverage skills in SYSPRO.
• Deep SYSPRO expertise with ability to travel on-site 1–2 times per month (if non-local).
