General Dynamics - IT is seeking an Enterprise Release and Deployment Coordinator to serve as the connective tissue across a large-scale engineering organization. You will coordinate complex technology initiatives spanning infrastructure, applications, cloud, end-user computing, networking, and cybersecurity—ensuring teams stay aligned and major efforts move forward.
You will use technical insight and leadership to identify cross-team dependencies, manage risks, and bring the right people
What happens when ten engineering teams need to make changes at the same time?
Someone has to see the entire picture.
We are looking for an Enterprise Release and Deployment Coordinator to serve as the connective tissue across a large-scale engineering organization. You will coordinate complex technology initiatives that span infrastructure, applications, cloud, end-user computing, networking, cybersecurity, communications, and other technical disciplines—ensuring teams remain aligned, dependencies are understood, risks are visible, and major efforts continue moving forward.
This is not a scheduling or administrative role. You will use technical insight, organizational leadership, and strong execution skills to understand what each team is trying to accomplish, identify where work intersects, challenge potential conflicts, and bring the right people together to keep enterprise initiatives moving rapidly and safely.
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Enterprise Release and Deployment Coordinator must have:
Our program brings together 28 different IT engineering disciplines supporting a complex enterprise technology environment. That breadth makes coordination critical—and gives this position an unusually broad view of enterprise technology.
You will work across engineering teams rather than inside a single technology silo. You will learn how infrastructure, cloud, applications, security, networking, end-user computing, communications, and other disciplines depend on one another—and use that understanding to help teams execute as one organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the center of complex technical work, understands how to build relationships with highly technical people, and has the confidence to ask the questions that need to be asked.
You will have significant autonomy and ownership. We expect you to see around corners, identify problems before they become blockers, and keep work moving without waiting for someone else to tell you what needs to happen next.
We also believe sustained performance requires balance. Our engineering culture values accountability, professional growth, teamwork, and delivering exceptional results while respecting family and personal time.
Large technology initiatives rarely fail because one engineer doesn't know how to do their job.
They fail when teams are working from different assumptions.
A network change happens before an application dependency is ready. A deployment is scheduled while another team is consuming the same resources. A critical prerequisite is missed. Two workstreams move independently without realizing they affect each other.
This role exists to prevent those problems.
You will maintain the enterprise view while technical teams focus on their individual missions. You will connect the dots, identify dependencies, expose risks, and keep everyone moving toward the same outcome.
Success means engineering teams know what is happening, when it is happening, what they depend on, and what they need to do next.
It means leadership has a clear picture of enterprise activity without having to chase information across multiple teams.
It means conflicts are identified before they become incidents.
It means large-scale initiatives move quickly without sacrificing coordination, quality, or operational stability.
And it means the engineering organization can take on increasingly complex initiatives with confidence because someone is keeping the entire picture in view.
The ideal candidate naturally asks:
If you enjoy understanding complex technology, bringing people together, solving organizational and technical obstacles, and watching a complicated initiative come together because you helped make it happen, this is an opportunity to have an impact across the entire engineering organization.
Connect the teams. Anticipate the risks. Drive the execution. Deliver the mission.
