Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy seeks a Senior Manager to lead quality performance improvement across its enterprise. You will integrate data analytics, frontline insights, patient feedback, and regulatory requirements to drive measurable outcomes.

In partnership with clinical and executive leaders, you will guide programs from problem identification through solution implementation and sustainment, advancing safety, access, and patient experience while fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, nursing, social or behavioral science, data analytics, quality improvement, health informatics, or a related field; master’s degree strongly desired.
  • At least 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare performance improvement, quality improvement, analytics, clinical operations, or a closely related field, including at least 2 years leading complex cross-functional initiatives, portfolios, teams, or enterprise governance work.
  • Must be action-oriented, have business acumen, manage conflict well, be customer focused, have high decision quality, flexibility to adapt to ongoing change and have organizational agility.
  • Interpersonal skills to drive collaboration, commitment and productivity with cross-functional teams, customers and end users.
  • Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • High degree of personal accountability and independent decision-making in line with organizational mission.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple duties with interruptions.
  • Act 33/34 and FBI clearances; Pre-Employment Drug Screen; Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Lead Pittsburgh Mercy's Quality Improvement Program and Annual Quality Plan.
  • Align quality priorities with strategy, accreditation, regulation, payer expectations and performance goals.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership to drive performance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide performance measurement systems and dashboards.
  • Establish standardized metrics, data definitions, and governance for data accuracy and transparency.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize benchmarks and best practices to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor incidents, grievances, adverse events, and other indicators for proactive intervention.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to leaders to support actions and improvements.
