Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking a Senior Quality Engineering Lead to build an enterprise-wide QA platform for a leading financial services organization. You will shape testing standards, frameworks and tools across unit, integration, front-end and platform testing, while managing external delivery partners to align with architecture and long-term direction.

You will partner with engineering and product teams to embed quality into the delivery lifecycle, mentor teams, and report on quality metrics

Qualifications

• Significant experience in quality engineering or test automation.
• Hands-on expertise with front-end automation tools such as Playwright, Cucumber and Selenium.
• Strong experience with API, database, data/file ingestion and performance testing.
• Understanding of unit/integration testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience managing vendors and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve an enterprise QA platform with scalable quality coverage across the technology estate.
• Set standards and best practices for unit and integration testing across development teams.
• Lead front-end test automation strategy and execution using Playwright, Cucumber and Selenium.
• Drive platform-level testing across APIs, databases, data/file ingestion and performance.
• Manage relationships with external testing and delivery partners and ensure alignment with architecture and quality standards.
• Act as onshore technical lead, coordinating offshore delivery teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture and product teams to embed quality into the delivery lifecycle.
• Provide mentorship on test automation and quality engineering practices.
