Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to provide enterprise leadership for our project controls function across a large portfolio of integrated design-build projects for municipal, industrial, and federal clients.

This enterprise role will establish and continuously improve the governance, systems, processes, analytics, and talent needed to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 15+ years of related experience.
• PMP or PgM certification required.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise project controls strategy and governance across business units and regions.
• Establish controls for design-build and alternative delivery models (CMAR, etc.).
• Strengthen budgeting, earned value, forecasting, and scheduling.
• Develop leading indicators, dashboards, and actionable insights for margin and delivery risk.
• Lead modernization of platforms, data, and workflows; promote automation and AI-enabled forecasting.
• Establish document and records controls across projects.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve project profitability and outcomes.
• Build and mentor a distributed team of schedulers, cost controllers, and document control professionals.
