Wispr is seeking a backend systems architect to design and ship multi-tenant backend architectures for enterprise customers. You will move quickly to meet urgent customer needs while building secure, durable capabilities that support the broader product.

The role emphasizes ownership of critical customer outcomes, strong backend fundamentals, and experience with enterprise identity, permissions, and audit systems. You will work with cross-functional teams on secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience building multi-tenant B2B or enterprise software in production.
• Ability to own critical customer/business outcomes.
• Strong backend fundamentals across data, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with enterprise identity, permissions, or audit systems.
• Thorough under pressure and trusted with sensitive production changes.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate multi-tenant systems for enterprise customers.
• Design APIs, data models, migrations, and distributed workflows.
• Build identity and access capabilities across SSO, SCIM, RBAC, and policy enforcement.
• Develop auditability, privacy controls, and secure foundations for customer data.
• Turn deal blockers into reusable capabilities without overfitting.
• Own systems through rollout, observability, and production operation.
