Job summary

Boardwalk Pipelines, LP in Houston, TX is seeking an Enterprise Physical Security Manager to strengthen security strategy and programs across the organization. The role leads the Physical Security team and develops processes aligned with PHMSA, TSA, and industry guidelines.

Travel up to 50% and a Bachelor’s Degree are required; MS Degree preferred. The position collaborates with Operations, IT, and Safety to drive risk reduction and a proactive security culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the Physical Security team and program by implementing the organizational security strategy to mitigate risk.
• Matures the Security plans and process to include PHMSA, TSA, industry and local requirements or guidelines.
• Facilitates enterprise-wide security risk profiles of existing and planning operations to inform executive decision making.
• Works with Operations, Safety, IT and OT to ensure an enterprise approach to security reflective of risks.
• Collaborates with Federal, State, and Local law enforcement in matters related to physical security.
• Handles a diverse range of complex assignments requiring experience, innovation and judgment.
• Assumes responsibility for overall security program success.
• Direct investigation levels for security incidents.
• Develops security training and programs to enhance the company’s security compliance.
• Oversees security assessments to determine compliance with security programs and provides assurance leadership.
• Instills a cooperative and caring attitude with internal customers to foster a proactive security culture.
• May regularly cross into new fields of technical specialty.

We are currently looking for an Enterprise Physical Security Manager in Houston, TX.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Enterprise Physical Security Manager strengthens Boardwalk’s security awareness and protection by establishing the security strategy maturing, developing and implementing security processes and measures.

Responsibilities:

• • Lead the Physical Security team and program by implementing the organizational security strategy to mitigate risk
  • Matures the Security plans and process to include incorporation of PHMSA, TSA, industry and local requirements or guidelines
  • Facilitates enterprise-wide security risk profiles of existing and planning operations to inform executive decision making
  • Works closely with related teams to include Operations, Safety, Informational Technology and Operational Technology to ensure an enterprise approach to security reflective of risks
  • Collaborates with Federal, State, and Local law enforcement agencies in matters related to physical security
  • Handles a diverse range of complex assignments requiring the use of experience, innovation, and judgment
  • Assumes responsibility for overall security program success
  • Direct investigation levels for security incidents
  • Develops security training and security programs to enhance the company’s overall compliance
  • Oversees security assessments to determine compliance with security programs and provides assurance leadership to management
  • Instill a cooperative and caring attitude with internal customers to foster a proactive security culture
  • May regularly cross into new fields of technical specialty

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Ability to travel 25-50%

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• • Emergency Planning or Law Enforcement, or previous military or 10+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Previous experience with natural gas transmission, oil, and gas, or related energy industry company.
  • Knowledge of TSA Pipeline Security Guidelines
