Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 4–6 years of patch management or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong understanding of patch management principles and experience with WSUS and SCCM.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment, testing, and deployment of OS and application patches across enterprise endpoints using WSUS/SCCM or comparable platforms.
• Design and maintain patching schedules and maintenance windows to minimize business impact while meeting security needs.
• Troubleshoot and remediate failed patches, coordinating with admins and owners on workarounds and fixes.
• Implement and tune automated patch management workflows, including targeting, rules, and deadlines.
• Monitor vulnerability feeds and dashboards to prioritize patch deployment by risk and SLAs.
• Document patch management procedures and reporting for audits and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with vulnerability management and security operations to align patches with threats and regulatory obligations.
