Job summary

Check is seeking a results-oriented support professional for our enterprise payroll platform. You will manage partner requests, untangle complex payroll scenarios, and communicate clearly with partners whose payroll knowledge may range from seasoned professionals to first-time operators.

You’ll work with Engineering, Product, Tax, Risk to troubleshoot issues, improve docs, and help drive efficient resolutions. This is a remote/hybrid US role with collaboration across the Check ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a client‑or‑facing role.
• 2+ years at a payroll provider or fintech company.
• Experience balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong investigative instincts and curiosity.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate across technical, operational, and admin teams.
• Excellent written communication; explain complex concepts clearly.
• Experience using ticketing systems (Zendesk preferred).
• Experience creating or improving internal documentation and SOPs.
• Experience supporting enterprise accounts.
• Willingness to attend annual 3 day company offsite each spring.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional partner support, managing a high volume of requests via written communication, meeting SLAs.
• Investigate complex payroll and tax issues, trace root causes, and drive resolution.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Tax, Risk to resolve issues.
• Surface patterns to improve documentation, workflows, and product behavior.
• Build trusted relationships with partners across platforms.
• Escalate thoughtfully with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Deliver service that feels personal and empathetic.
