Job summary

Erias Ventures, LLC is seeking a senior analytics engineer to design and implement machine learning, data mining, and simulation-based solutions for complex datasets. You will prototype multiple algorithms, build production-ready models, and generate data-driven insights for customers across projects in secure environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with domain experts, rigorous validation, and the delivery of actionable reports and visualizations to support decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting problem definition and gathering data requirements from stakeholders
• Oral and written communications skills to explain data analysis to stakeholders
• 10+ years of experience with conducting analysis of management and operational problems using operations research techniques
• 4+ years of experience with the application of modeling and simulation to address decision analysis problems
• 4+ years of experience conducting multiple objective decision analysis or cost benefit analysis in support of research objectives
• 4+ years of experience with PANDAS, R, Excel and VBA, ARENA, OCTAVE, Tableau, Gurobi and CPLEX, EXTENDSIM, SAS, NETICA, stats models, Stata, MATLAB, or SPSS
• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
• Experience with developing and performing verification and validation of models to ensure adequacy
• Experience developing and delivering training materials for operations research techniques
• Experience briefing results and preparing written reports on analytic approaches and methodologies
• Experience with the use of machine learning and large language models to solve complex problems
• Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Responsibilities

• Develop machine learning, data mining, statistical and graph-based algorithms to analyze and make sense of datasets; prototype or consider several algorithms and decide upon final model based on suitable performance metrics; build models or develop experiments to generate data when training or example datasets are unavailable; generate reports and visualizations that summarize datasets and provide data-driven insights to customers; partner with subject matter experts to translate manual data analysis into automated analytics; implement prototype algorithms within production frameworks for integration into analyst workflows.
