Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks engineers with a strong analytics and machine learning background to advance mission-focused projects. You will develop ML, data mining, and statistical algorithms to analyze complex datasets and produce actionable insights for customers.

Ideal candidates hold a Top-Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph, and have 4+ years in modeling, simulation, and decision-analysis work, plus extensive experience with data tools (Pandas, R, Tableau, Excel, etc.).

Qualifications

• Experience defining data requirements with stakeholders
• Oral and written communications skills to explain data analysis to stakeholders
• 10+ years of experience with conducting analysis of management and operational problems using operations research techniques
• 4+ years of experience with the application of modeling and simulation to address decision analysis problems
• 4+ years of experience conducting multiple objective decision analysis or cost benefit analysis in support of research objectives
• 4+ years of experience with Pandas, R, Excel and VBA, ARENA, OCTAVE, Tableau, Gurobi and CPLEX, EXTENDSIM, SAS, NETICA, stats models, Stata, MATLAB, or SPSS
• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Responsibilities

• Develop machine learning, data mining, statistical and graph-based algorithms to analyze datasets and generate data-driven insights
• Prototype and compare several algorithms, selecting final models based on performance metrics
• Build models or experiments to generate data when training or example datasets are unavailable
• Generate reports and visualizations that summarize datasets for customers
• Partner with subject matter experts to translate manual data analysis into automated analytics
• Implement prototype algorithms within production frameworks for integration into analyst workflows
