Job summary

Graybar is seeking a security-focused engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise firewalls and secure connectivity solutions. You will administer Zscaler environments, support remote access for employees and partners, and contribute to security architecture initiatives.

The role emphasizes project planning, documentation, and mentoring junior staff, with responsibility for procurement, licensing, and upgrades to maintain a stable computing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a large enterprise architecture, engineering, and support of LAN/WAN and voice networks.
• 2-year degree required; a 4-year degree with CS focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise firewall platforms.
• Design and support secure B2B connectivity solutions for customers, vendors, subsidiaries, and business partners.
• Engineer and support secure remote access solutions for employees, contractors, and external partners.
• Administer and support Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and Zscaler Client Connector environments.
• Support enterprise security architecture and infrastructure security initiatives.
• Develop standardized troubleshooting methodologies that consistently result in timely resolution of system issues.
• Plan, develop, and lead systems-related projects.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards.
• Mentor and support junior members of staff.
• Plan hardware and software procurement, licensing, installation, configuration, and upgrades that require the acquisition of customer acceptance.
• Develop processes and procedures to ensure a stable computing environment.
• Develop and maintain standardized data security protection procedures.
• Discover and evaluate new cost-effective technologies.
