Job summary

Virginia Western Community College is seeking a Network and Security Engineer to support the college's enterprise network, cybersecurity, and infrastructure services.

The role designs, configures, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots wired and wireless networks, WAN routing, firewall services, virtualization platforms, and related communications infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable operations across the college.

Qualifications

• Considerable experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure including switching, routing, WAN, wireless and firewalls.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, intrusion detection, vulnerability management, and logging.
• Ability to perform remote after-hours and weekend maintenance to minimize service interruptions.

Responsibilities
