Job summary
Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise is seeking a Network Supervisor to design and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches. You will troubleshoot issues, lead a technical team, and coordinate with service providers to ensure reliable network services for the organization.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 3 years of WAN experience, plus a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field plus three (3) years’ work experience in WAN design, deployment, maintenance, and support. Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Configures LAN and WAN components, including firewalls, routers, switches, and hubs to meet business requirements.
- Monitors network performance and applies patches and hardware changes to optimize performance.
- Provides in-depth troubleshooting and diagnosis of all network components.
- Coordinates preventive maintenance, upgrades, and repairs with hardware and software service providers.
- Supports back up to 24x7 network Operations team.
- Contributes to voice and data network planning and design.
- Identifies resources to address performance, reliability, and security requirements.
- Promotes standardization to facilitate maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Develops and documents enterprise network designs; installs and maintains network hardware.
- Responds to trouble calls regarding outages and performance.
- Formulates resolution strategies using OSI framework; guides remote Infrastructure Support personnel.
- Provides technical leadership on IP routing technologies.
- Analyzes traffic to forecast capacity; conducts failover testing.
- Keeps abreast of new technologies through research and professional development.
- Maintains confidentiality of privileged information.
