Job summary

Public Storage is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize our enterprise network across the organization. The role focuses on reliability, performance, scalability, and security of WAN, LAN, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, and related connectivity.

You will work with IT Infrastructure, Security, Help Desk, field operations, vendors, and other stakeholders to support network availability, incident resolution, upgrades, and ongoing performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years in network engineering, administration, or related role.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and wireless concepts.
• Experience with enterprise network hardware and security devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze and resolve issues.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and change management practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VPNs).
• Troubleshoot network performance, reliability, and availability across offices and remote sites.
• Monitor health, bandwidth, latency, and device performance; implement proactive fixes.
• Coordinate changes, patches, firmware, and hardware refreshes per change control.
• Support WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and wireless networks.
