Job summary

Independent Software, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer Level 2 to configure, deploy, and support enterprise network infrastructure using Cisco and Arista technologies. You will work on both lab configurations and live networks, ensuring performance, security, and SSP/STE/STN compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, fielding upgrades, and on-call support across multiple locations, with occasional travel and a TS SCI eligibility requirement.

Qualifications

• Experience in configuring and supporting enterprise networks.
• Strong Cisco and Arista configuration and sustainment experience.
• Familiarity with SSP/STE/STN compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, sustain, and troubleshoot Cisco and Arista network infrastructure
• Support operational networks, including firewall and crypto equipment
• Configure and test new systems and network upgrades in lab environments prior to deployment
• Support equipment fielding, cutovers, upgrades, and modernization efforts
• Perform SSP compliance activities and support STE/STN security requirements
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity
• Work through technical issues and service requests using JIRA
• Maintain network configurations, diagrams, and compliance records
• Provide remote and in-person support for systems at multiple locations
• Travel occasionally, including OCONUS travel
