Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to own enterprise AI/ML architecture, standards, APIs, and guardrails across cloud/on-prem. You will build production ML/GenAI solutions and end-to-end ML pipelines at scale, partnering with DevOps, Security, Compliance and Product teams.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in AI/ML and enterprise software, plus advanced degrees and hands-on experience with GenAI tooling, Python/Java, and modern MLOps.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s with AI/ML leadership experience
• 3–5 years in AI/ML and enterprise software
• Experience with GenAI tooling and production ML services

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise AI/ML architecture across cloud/on-prem
• Build production ML/GenAI solutions at scale
• Build end-to-end ML pipelines (data ingestion to deployment)
• Architect LLM/RAG and guardrails with safe deploys
• Lead evaluation, drift detection and retraining
