Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Medication Safety Officer to lead enterprise-wide efforts to promote safe and effective medication use across our health system. You will collaborate with pharmacy, clinical and quality leaders to identify risks, translate data into action, and drive system-level improvements.

You will influence strategy, guide program development, and implement innovative medication-management technologies while aligning with regulatory requirements and patient safety goals.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree required; PGY1 residency or equivalent health-system experience.
• Minimum five years of health-system pharmacy experience, incl. 3+ years in medication safety or leadership.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and applying performance-improvement methods.
• PGY2 residency or fellowship in Medication-Use Safety or related preferred.
• Experience with enterprise EHRs and medication-use tech; Epic CDS and automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise medication-safety initiatives across acute and ambulatory settings.
• Identify risks, translate data into actionable strategies, and drive system-wide improvements.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, clinicians, quality, operations, and executives.
• Guide program development and implement innovative medication-management technologies.
