Job summary

NS2 Mission is seeking a Full Performance Software Developer in the Northern VA area to design, develop, test, and sustain enterprise applications. You will translate business and system requirements into functional software using Java and Angular within a collaborative Agile environment.

You will work on backend services, web apps, and REST/SOAP interfaces, participate in Scrum teams, and contribute to CI/CD, cloud, automation, and distributed architectures across the full software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise software in web environments.
• Hands-on Java development.
• Angular UI experience.
• REST and SOAP web services experience.
• Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD and automation.
• Experience in Linux environments.
• Experience in Scrum/Lean Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications in modern web-based environments.
• Translate system requirements into functional interfaces and software solutions.
• Develop backend services and web apps using Java and Angular.
• Design and implement web services and APIs (REST, SOAP).
• Analyze user/business needs to improve operational efficiency.
• Work with databases using JDBC/ODBC/direct interfaces.
• Participate in Scrum teams and Lean Agile processes.
• Conduct quality assurance activities, peer reviews, testing and validation.
• Support CI, test automation, and DevOps using Git/Jenkins.
• Develop project artifacts and status information.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to deployment, maintenance, and sustainment across the lifecycle.
