Job summary

The South Carolina Treasurer's Office seeks an Assistant IT Director to join the IT Division’s Leadership Team, guiding enterprise IT operations, staff development, and strategic planning. The role requires coordinating with IT staff, STO employees, and executive leadership to align technology with agency goals.

Responsibilities include managing daily IT operations, vendor relations, cybersecurity efforts, SAP integrations, budget oversight, and long-range technology planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least six (6) years of progressively responsible IT management experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of full-time supervisory experience in an IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, and administration of enterprise IT operations for the STO.
• Manage daily IT operations including infrastructure, applications, and helpdesk services.
• Oversee IT vendor relationships and critical systems/applications.
• Coordinate with shared services vendors for service delivery and priorities.
• Analyze complex technical issues and improve system performance and security.
• Support information security initiatives, incident response, risk assessments, and compliance.
• Assist with contract renewals, procurement, budget monitoring, and long-range planning.
• Ensure enterprise systems integrations with SAP and third-party systems.
