Job summary

Simmons Bank is seeking an IT Architect to lead the design and continual improvement of the bank’s technical infrastructure. You will evaluate current technologies, propose improvements for performance, stability, and cost, and present opportunities to IT and Executive Leadership.

You’ll serve on the Architecture Review Board and lead critical infrastructure projects. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in enterprise/solution architecture or senior tech leadership, a related bachelor’s degree, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or senior technology leadership experience.
• Experience in regulated financial institutions.
• Advanced certifications in networking, system design, cloud design, database design and management, and AI or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates Bank technology and identifies opportunities for improvement.
• Stays current with emerging technologies that benefit the Bank.
• Advises IT and Bank leadership on technology state and trends.
• Designs, tests, and evaluates technical solutions as needed.
• Prepares proposals and briefings on current and emerging technologies.
• Performs due diligence reviews of technologies prior to implementation.
• Engages with vendors for major changes and implementations.
• Assists in contract negotiations and system architecture design.
• Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
