Job summary

JBW Federal is seeking an IT Architect to provide technical leadership in designing enterprise solutions that align with business goals. The role collaborates with stakeholders, engineers, cybersecurity, and project teams to deliver scalable, secure architectures while adhering to enterprise standards.

A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance are required. The position focuses on architecture governance, documentation, and lifecycle guidance across modernization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of information technology, systems engineering, or solution experience.
• Experience designing enterprise or large-scale technical architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise and solution architectures aligned with organizational standards.
• Translate business and operational requirements into technical designs.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical artifacts.
• Evaluate technologies and recommend solutions that improve capability, interoperability, and efficiency.
• Ensure solutions incorporate cybersecurity, scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Participate in architecture reviews, governance, and design discussions.
• Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and modernization efforts.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the system lifecycle, from planning through implementation.
