Job summary
Peraton is hiring an Enterprise Infrastructure Software Data Engineer to join our Cyber Mission unit in Laurel, Maryland. This full-time role supports one of the largest enterprise engineering contracts in the Intelligence Community at a customer site.
You will develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, review components, and apply appropriate development methodologies while leveraging COTS/GOTS where applicable. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field with eight years of software engineering experience; or six years with a Master's; or three years with a PhD.
- Experience designing, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and similar platforms.
- Strong Linux and Python background.
- Understanding of IT management and operations.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
- Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
- Utilize software development methodologies appropriate to the environment.
- Provide input to software components of system design, including use of COTS/GOTS where appropriate.
