Job summary

Northern Trust is hiring an Enterprise Incident Management Senior Consultant to lead enterprise-wide responses to significant incidents impacting operations, technology, facilities, and reputation. The role operates in a 24x7 follow-the-sun model to ensure rapid, coordinated action.

You will drive incident handling, coordinate cross-functional teams, and provide timely communications and post-incident reviews.

Qualifications

• Requires a college or university degree and relevant work experience.
• 5–7 years of related experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Incident Management, Risk, or Controls.
• Familiarity with incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and reporting frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support real-time monitoring and assessment of potential incidents across the enterprise.
• Coordinate triage and escalation of incidents per thresholds and severity criteria.
• Activate incident response teams and escalation pathways; manage SWAT calls and channels.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive timely incident resolution and updates.
• Maintain situational awareness and provide ongoing status reports on impact and risk.
• Contribute to governance, metrics, and continuous improvement of incident processes.
