Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead enterprise IAM initiatives. You will translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and coordinate across infrastructure, security, and applications teams to deliver value on time and within scope.

This role combines business delivery, technical architecture, and governance, overseeing platform migrations, policy implementations, and new IAM capabilities while ensuring compliance and measurable results.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related field.
10+ years in project/program management; 5+ years managing IAM, security, or enterprise IT projects.
3+ years hands-on with enterprise IAM platforms (Okta, Saviynt, or equivalent); proven success leading complex multi-team initiatives and platform migrations.

Responsibilities

Define project charters and scope for IAM initiatives, breaking implementations into manageable workstreams and phases
Develop schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates with technical leads
Establish success criteria and KPIs aligned with business objectives
Lead governance boards and steering committee reviews
Communicate status, risks, and decisions to technical and business audiences
Coordinate across infrastructure, security, applications, and business teams, managing dependencies and escalations
