Job summary

Beyond New Horizons is seeking an Enterprise GUI Software Developer to join the AEDC-focused team at Arnold Air Force Base in Arnold, TN. The role involves designing, implementing and configuring system software for data-driven models and acquisition systems in a high-assurance aerospace test environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong GUI experience with Java, Python, WebGL, C/C++, and GitLab, plus knowledge of SDLC and Agile practices. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering or a related scientific discipline from an accredited college or university.
• L07: Minimum of 2 years of experience using GUI, Java, Python, WebGL, GitLab, C, and/or C++.
• Degree requirements can be substituted with 5 years of relevant and progressive experience in software development field.
• Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain front-end interfaces for data acquisition, data processing, data mining, and data storage systems.
• Develop system requirements and design configurable/modifiable systems to interface with hardware and software.
• Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys to understand user needs and pain points.
• Conceptualize and implement UI/UX strategies aligned with customer requirements.
• Create UI elements like menus, tabs and widgets for intuitive use.
• Perform software testing and verification.
• Support software configuration management to ensure system integrity.
• Apply system security to meet Federal Information Assurance requirements.
• Collaborate in an open, team-oriented environment.
