Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) is hiring an Enterprise GUI Software Developer to support TOS II at Arnold Air Force Base, Arnold, TN. Join a talented engineering team responsible for design, implementation and configuration management of system software for data acquisition and analysis in aerospace ground test environments.

The role emphasizes front-end interfaces, SDLC adherence, and secure, reusable code. A BS in CS/IS/CE or equivalent with 2+ years GUI/C/C++ experience is required; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering or a related scientific discipline from an accredited college or university.
• L07: Minimum of 2 years of experience using GUI, Java, Python, WebGL, GitLab, C, and/or C++.
• Degree requirements can be substituted with 5 years of relevant and progressive experience in software development field.
• Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop front-end interfaces for data acquisition, data processing, data mining, and data storage systems.
• Develop system requirements and design configurable interfaces for existing and future hardware/software.
• Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
• Conceptualize and develop a UI/UX strategy that aligns with customer requirements for the mission.
• Create and design UI elements such as menus, tabs, widgets, and other visual components to aid intuitive use.
• Perform software testing and verification.
• Support software configuration management practices to ensure system integrity.
• Apply system security to meet Federal Information Assurance requirements.
• Foster an open, trusting, communicative, and collaborative work environment.
• Wear PPE as directed by supervision and policy.
• Perform other duties as required.
