Job summary

Aquent Talent collaborates with a leading financial services organization to hire a visionary Architecture professional. You will design and build mission-critical, distributed solutions, shaping robust core systems and enabling seamless integration across platforms.

Lead the technical design, produce architectural documentation, and ensure performance in a mission-critical mid-tier environment while engaging diverse stakeholders across a complex organization.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years in a comparable technical role, with substantial time as an application architect or lead designer in a large enterprise.
• Deep understanding of web architecture, J2EE, messaging middleware, application integration, and development tooling.
• Hands-on development experience deploying large, distributed systems across multiple platforms.
• Experience with Java Application Servers (Websphere, Weblogic, JBoss) and core tech such as XML, MQ, JSP, JNDI, JMS, EJB, JDBC.
• Experience with Oracle database integration and integrating with legacy applications.
• Strong grasp of OO system architectures, UML, and RUP.
• Proven ability to write clear high- and mid-level architectural documentation.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and hands-on build of custom solution components, from concept to deployment.
• Collaborate with Engagement Managers, Developers, and Solutions Architects to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Develop high-level and mid-level architectural documentation for clarity across teams.
• Contribute to a mission-critical mid-tier production environment ensuring stability and performance.
• Engage with multiple stakeholders across departments to understand needs and build alignment.
