Job summary

Cengage is seeking a Dev Ops Transformation Program Manager to drive our enterprise modernization across Platform Engineering, SRE, FinOps, DevSecOps, and related governance. You will lead program execution, build executive scorecards, and define demand intake, capacity, and adoption strategies to realize value.

You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, shape ownership models, and ensure risk controls, roadmaps, and cutover plans are aligned with business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven program management experience in DevOps or enterprise transformation.
• Ability to connect work to business outcomes with explicit tradeoffs.
• Experience running platform/infrastructure and internal tech product programs.
• Strong governance and executive-facing reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate large roadmaps and rollout plans.
• Knowledge of FinOps, DevSecOps, AIOps, and SRE principles.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated transformation program across Platform Engineering, SRE, FinOps, DevSecOps, AIOps, demand intake, service ownership, operating-model change, and vendor transition.
• Establish governance cadence with steering committees and decision logs across groups.
• Turn the DevOps target operating model into an executable transformation system with outcomes, sequencing, governance, and value realization.
• Establish demand intake and capacity-management to reveal hidden work and protect transformation capacity.
• Build executive scorecards linking readiness, SLOs, incident trends, toil reduction, and risk indicators.
• Lead coordination among departments, guiding change processes and alignment.
• Drive service ownership with clear owners, readiness, and measurable improvement paths.
• Track value realization through operational improvements and financial impact.
