Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Director of Enterprise Data Protection & Privacy to lead the EDPP program, ensuring governance, risk management, and compliance for privacy and data protection across the organization.

The role partners with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Technology, and senior leadership to implement a comprehensive framework protecting personal information and addressing global privacy requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than 12 years of applicable experience.
• Strong leadership and management of processes, projects and people.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in privacy, data protection and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with privacy and data protection laws and regulations (GLBA, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR).
• Identify, assess and monitor enterprise privacy and data protection risks.
• Drive remediation for regulatory examinations, audits, and control weaknesses.
• Provide strategic governance, risk reporting to leadership and Board support.
• Lead enterprise-wide privacy and data protection initiatives and program enhancements.
