Job summary

ML6 Search + Talent Advisory is assisting a Virginia-based manufacturing leader in identifying a Data & Analytics Engineer to design and scale an enterprise data platform using Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and BI tools. You will lead data ingestion, ETL/ELT, and data governance while delivering analytics capabilities for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS/Analytics or related field.
• 3–5 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, BI, or related field.
• Experience designing, building production-scale data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Strong SQL skills: complex queries, views, stored procedures, transformations, optimization.
• Hands-on with ETL/ELT pipelines; familiar with data warehousing and Lakehouse concepts.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms (Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse).
• Experience developing dashboards in Power BI or Tableau; data model design.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud; API integrations and data migrations.
• Knowledge of data governance, quality, lineage, and security considerations.
• Asset: Python, Spark, or PySpark; DevOps/CI/CD familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a scalable enterprise data platform using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies.
• Create and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and data models to support enterprise reporting and AI.
• Build dashboards and semantic models for self-service analytics using Power BI or Tableau.
• Partner with Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to translate requirements into data products.
• Establish KPIs, data definitions, and enterprise data standards; monitor data quality and lineage.
