Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in data governance or related fields.
• Experience as a data governance SME in a federated or enterprise-scale model.
• Ability to influence governance outcomes without formal authority.
• Experience leading cross-functional governance initiatives across business, tech, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data governance platforms (Informatica, Atlan, Alation or similar).
• Experience enabling data stewards and data owners on governance processes and tools.
• Knowledge of data classification, metadata management, and regulatory-aligned governance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for data governance and data stewardship, contributing to policies and standards.
• Lead onboarding of domains into federated governance, enabling stewardship adoption.
• Enable data discovery and reuse via metadata management, data catalog, and data marketplace.
• Implement metadata management, glossary curation, and stewardship workflows.
• Integrate governance across platforms and workflows.
• Influence adoption through stakeholder engagement and trusted relationships.
• Leverage automation and AI to improve stewardship efficiency.
• Establish and report governance KPIs and progress.
• Collaborate with platform owners to support governance needs.
• Author governance policies and operating models.
• Lead governance training and outreach programs.
