Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Solutions Architect to support a federal client in Oak Ridge, TN. The role involves consulting with stakeholders, designing data flows from metrics to dashboards, and leading ELT development to deliver enterprise-grade BI solutions.

You will optimize SQL, build dashboards, and enforce data security while evaluating Power BI, Tableau, and Dynatrace to choose the best tools for the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10–15 years of experience in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience translating business goals into KPIs and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops with engineers, DBAs, and business stakeholders to identify metrics and outcomes.
• Design end-to-end data flow from source metrics to ETL, data warehouse, and visualization layer.
• Perform SQL optimization and scripting to prepare optimized data structures.
• Build and publish interactive dashboards tracking system health and enterprise metrics.
• Implement data access controls and row-level security for authorized personnel.
• Evaluate BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Dynatrace) and recommend suitable options for the organization.
