Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a senior data architecture leader to partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership to define objectives and align on practical data and analytics solutions.

You will design scalable, secure, and governed architectures using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Databricks, Power BI, and related platforms, while mentoring a small team of data engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software, CS, data science or related field.
• 5-8 years in data architecture, data engineering, analytics engineering or BI.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale data/analytics solutions end-to-end.
• Strong hands-on with Microsoft Fabric components and Databricks.
• Proficiency in Azure data services, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, Spark.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define objectives and align on data solutions.
• Lead discovery and solution design, including requirements, risks, architecture, and roadmaps.
• Design scalable, secure data architectures using modern platform technologies.
• Establish architecture standards, Medallion patterns, CI/CD, and data modeling practices.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple initiatives and guide delivery teams.
• Evaluate tradeoffs for scalability, security, and long-term supportability.
• Serve as trusted advisor and navigate ambiguity to reach consensus.
• Mentor and supervise a small data engineering team.
