Job summary

Lynker Corporation is seeking a Database and Applications Developer to support NOAA Fisheries’ PEMD and SEAMAP. The role focuses on centralizing scientific data, developing database architecture, and building secure applications for NOAA staff and external partners.

The candidate will create automated data pipelines, design relational schemas, and implement data validation, governance, and compliance while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams at Lynker.

Qualifications

• Translate real-world scientific processes into logical data models.
• Write complex stored procedures, triggers, and packages to support workflows.
• Implement RBAC to differentiate user access requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, data dictionaries, and user manuals.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate data from legacy sources into centralized enterprise datasets.
• Build data pipelines to centralize survey data.
• Design database architectures for centralized data storage.
• Develop secure front-end apps for internal and external users.
• Create ETL workflows to migrate data to Oracle environment.
• Validate data and maintain data integrity during migration.
• Support data analyses, reports, and presentations.
