Job summary

Lynker Technologies seeks a Database and Applications Developer to centralize data, design database architecture, and build secure applications for NOAA staff and partners. Responsibilities include ETL, data integration, and developing user-friendly interfaces on secure portals.

The role requires strong Oracle skills, PL/SQL, front-end development, and experience with data governance. Working on-site in Pascagoula, MS with potential travel and contract-based terms.

Qualifications

• Ability to translate real-world scientific processes into data models.
• Write complex stored procedures, triggers, and packages using PL/SQL.
• RBAC knowledge to differentiate user and access requirements.
• Documentation of data dictionaries and user manuals.
• Front-end development with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate data from legacy sources into centralized pipelines.
• Design robust Oracle-based database architecture.
• Develop secure front-end applications for internal and external users.
• Create ETL workflows to migrate data into Oracle Enterprise environment.
• Implement data validation and data quality checks.
• Support data reports, publications, and workshops as needed.
• Ensure data security and PII protection compliance.
