Job summary

Kirkland & Ellis is seeking a Director of Enterprise Data and Analytics in Chicago to lead vision, strategy, and execution of the firm’s data capabilities. You will partner with firm leadership to build a data-driven culture, oversee governance, and drive AI readiness across the organization.

You will manage data architecture, analytics, reporting, and security while guiding teams through scalable data pipelines and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a relevant field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in data management/analytics with leadership.
• Strong governance, data quality, and regulatory knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead enterprise data initiatives and partnerships.
• Experience with Microsoft data stack and analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute firm-wide enterprise data strategy with measurable outcomes.
• Partner with executives to secure investment in data initiatives.
• Define and evolve enterprise data architecture and standards.
• Lead data governance, metadata management, and lineage programs.
• Oversee data quality, integration, and pipeline delivery.
• Direct data pipelines using Azure/Fabric for reporting and AI.
• Prepare data environments for AI/ML, incl. RAG and responsible AI.
• Mentor teams and foster a data-driven culture across the firm.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide enterprise reporting excellence using Fabric and Power BI.
