Job summary

New Wave People is hiring a hands‑on Data & AI Architect to design and deliver enterprise data and artificial‑intelligence solutions with stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities include eliciting needs, converting them into actionable requirements, and presenting proposals to governance bodies. You will architect end‑to‑end data/AI platforms across ingestion to consumption, using agentic tooling while ensuring security and compliance, and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering/architecture or closely related field, with 6+ years in an architecture-focused role.
• Multi-cloud experience with hands-on design across two major clouds (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Multi-database experience across relational, NoSQL, analytical/warehouse, and vector/graph databases.
• Multi-AI experience with AI/ML and generative-AI frameworks, models, pipelines, RAG, orchestration.
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder-facing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on delivery with agentic tooling and AI-assisted workflows.
• Proven experience taking solutions from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and shape data/AI use cases into scoped opportunities.
• Convert business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Present proposals and drive approvals with governance bodies.
• Architect end-to-end data/AI solutions across ingestion, storage, transformation, modeling, serving, and consumption.
• Design and implement tooling to accelerate delivery while ensuring security and maintainability.
• Define reference architectures, patterns, and standards across multi-cloud environments.
• Ensure security, privacy, governance, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor engineers and analysts and promote best data/AI practices across the org.
