Job summary

Fort is seeking an Audio-Visual Support Technician in Janesville, WI to support a key Enterprise customer. You will set up and operate AV equipment for meetings, events, and daily operations while delivering exceptional user support.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting connectivity issues, maintaining equipment logs, and collaborating with event teams to ensure smooth presentations. A focus on cable management and preventive maintenance helps keep environments ready for use.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with AV systems including microphones, speakers, projectors, video conference setups.
• Basic signal flow and connectivity knowledge (HDBaseT, Dante).
• Ability to troubleshoot common AV issues.
• Experience with AV control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Zoom, Teams, Webex.
• Strong communication and customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, and operate AV equipment for meetings, events, and daily operations.
• Provide first-level AV technical support and troubleshoot basic connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with event coordinators to prepare AV setups for conferences and webinars.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and cable management.
• Maintain logs of AV configurations and issues encountered.
• Deliver excellent customer service and clear communication to users.
• Assist with inventory of AV gear and notify supervisor for replacements.
