Job summary

Peraton seeks a Technology Manager (Architecture) to lead enterprise architecture, technology strategy, and delivery for the County of San Diego. You will manage a team of architects and liaise with chief technology and security officers to drive modernization and security alignment.

This role requires hands-on experience in cloud platforms, cybersecurity, AI/automation, and large-scale transformations, with on-site/hybrid work in San Diego County and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise architecture, solution design, and technology strategy across apps, data, integration, infra and security
• 3+ years managing technical teams with mentoring experience
• Hands-on with cloud-native patterns, micro-services design, API-led connectivity
• Strong ability to deliver executive-ready briefings and architectural reviews
• Budget planning and performance analytics experience
• Willing to work on-site/hybrid within San Diego County; US citizen required

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture team, provide guidance, performance management and workload prioritization
• Partner with CTOs to develop enterprise architecture strategy and roadmaps
• Oversee delivery of architectural solutions aligned with standards and business needs
• Review deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with cloud-native, API-first, microservices & containerization patterns
• Participate in governance meetings and document decisions; establish guardrails for low-code/no-code and AI workflows
• Support development of technology roadmaps, standards, and guiding principles across platforms, cloud providers, databases, and AI/ML ecosystems
• Provide architectural oversight across IT projects and balance resources for on-time delivery
• Engage with stakeholders to deliver solutions that address business needs and provide executive briefings
