Job description

Seneca Holdings is hiring for an experienced Enterprise Architect who will create the technology vision, drive strategy, and be responsible for mapping out the architected system to ensure the technical design of the platform fulfills business needs. This role will utilize new and existing Information Technology architecture, SaaS-based API development, and IT operations skills to enhance functionality, data sharing, and security for Seneca Holdings LLC and its subsidiaries. The position requires adherence to industry and US Government standards, as well as compliance and security objectives.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with IT and business leaders to define and deliver highly scalable and secure enterprise solutions that share data to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and increase productivity. This role involves working with integrated IT teams and various business units.

Location and Hours

• Remote position supporting work in Chantilly, VA
• Monday – Friday, approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, with flexibility for nights and weekends, on-call support, and global time zones.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate technology strategy, organization, applications, and infrastructure; architect solutions for enterprise systems.
• Oversee the implementation and communication of the enterprise roadmap.
• Identify and remediate IT-related risks.
• Plan, develop, and operate projects within the enterprise integration strategy.
• Develop and track enterprise data flows and manage data usage within the organization.
• Deliver Master Data Management (MDM) and governance capabilities for continuous improvement.
• Implement IT governance, risk, and compliance procedures.
• Develop standard operating procedures and manage change control.
• Ensure solutions comply with standards such as ISO 27k and NIST.
• Define requirements, recommend solutions, and monitor systems for irregular behavior.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Educate and train team members.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years with IaaS/PaaS technologies like OpenStack, AWS GovCloud, Azure GCC.
• At least 5 years with programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, JavaScript.
• Experience with Web Service Standards (XML, SOAP, REST) and RDBMS.
• Technical skills in SOA, JSON, XSD, Postman, RESTful API.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in cloud and physical environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage solutions through their lifecycle.
• Knowledge of solution architecture frameworks, patterns, and best practices.

Desired Qualifications

• Relevant training and certifications, e.g., Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
• Experience with IT Governance and Master Data Management.
