Job summary
Erias Ventures in Augusta, GA is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build enterprise APIs and microservices using Java. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative team, applying RESTful services, OOP, and modern AI agent workflows to deliver robust software solutions. Partial telework is allowed, with a few days in the Augusta office.
Candidates should have 5+ years of frontend? focus on backend with strong Java and API design; U.S.
Qualifications
- Five years of front-end software development experience with a B.S. in Computer Science or related field; or three years with a Masters; or nine years with HS diploma.
- Strong Java development experience.
- Experience with RESTful web services and enterprise APIs.
- Hands-on with AI agent workflows (Claude Code, Gemini) in daily engineering.
- Experience designing multi-file features, automated tests, and refactoring using autonomous agents.
- Ability to guide AI agents through complex architectures and audit generated code for security and performance.
- Proven API design and microservices experience with OOP and Agile lifecycle.
- Comfort with Linux and standard toolchains (Git, Nexus, Maven).
- Hybrid work requirement: 1–2 days/week in Augusta, GA office.
