Job summary
Erias Ventures is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. You will work with a collaborative team to deliver high-quality Java-based solutions and stay current with modern tools and technologies.
The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a requirement to be in the Columbia, MD office 1-2 days per week. Candidates should have strong Java experience, RESTful services, and a passion for innovative software
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge and experience developing Java-based software capabilities
- Experience in RESTful web services and microservices architecture
- Proven ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team
- Experience with Linux operating system and configuration management tools
- Experience with AI agents and autonomous multi-file implementation workflows
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure) is a plus
- Hybrid work arrangement with 1-2 days per week in Columbia, MD office
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems
- Collaborate with engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Stay up-to-date with latest developments and best practices in software engineering
- Ensure security, performance, and architectural alignment of code
- Provide robust unit and integration tests and refactoring as needed
- Support integration with AI agents and novel tooling
