Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a Software Engineer (Java, API, Microservices) to design and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. You will work closely with a talented team to deliver robust APIs, microservice architectures, and innovative AI agent workflows.

Strong Java expertise, RESTful services, and experience with modern frameworks are required. On-site work at Fort Meade, MD is expected, with security clearance (Secret) and willingness to obtain TS/SCI.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Java-based software capabilities.
• Inquisitive, responsive, and excellent testing skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; able to handle multiple deadlines under pressure.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
• Experience with Next-Gen Coding Agents (Claude Code or Gemini) in daily workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for client systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver solutions that meet client needs.
• Stay current with new tools and technologies to improve software quality.
• Support testing and debugging across multi-file feature implementations and automated tests.
